Primary Member Share Savings
Whether you just need to place to deposit short term or you’re looking
for a long-term investment, Costa Mesa Federal Credit Union has what you
need.
Regular Primary Share Account
Regular Primary Share Accounts are required for ALL members other than
Junior and Young Adult Account holders. The minimum balance in all Primary
Share accounts is $50.00. The minimum balance required to earn dividends
is an average daily balance of $2500.00. Dividends are paid quarterly
on all Primary Share balances.
Young Adult Account
Young Adult Accounts are for our members that are just starting to build
their financial foundation. The minimum required balance is $25.00 and
dividends are paid quarterly on all balances; no minimum is required.
Young Adult Account holders may be eligible for ATM, Debit Card, Certificates
of Deposits, Checking Accounts, Loans, and more. A responsible parent
or guardian is required on the account. Members between 13 and 21 years
of age can set up a Young Adult Account.
Junior Savers Account
Junior Savers Club account holders are our youngest group of members.
The minumum required balance for Junior Savers Club members is $10.00
and dividends are paid quarterly on ALL balances; no minimum is required.
All junior Savers Club accounts require a responsible parent or guardian.
Additional services may be available for members from birth to 13 years
of age.
Share Certificates
Certificates of Deposits with Costa Mesa Federal Credit Union are an excellent
investment opportunity if you do not need immediate access to your funds
and want to invest for longer periods to obtain high rates of return.
Certificates start as low as $500.00. Terms are as short as 90 days.

Share (Checking) Draft Accounts
A checking account with your credit union offers you the savings and
convenience you want to manage your personal day-to-day finances. There
are no "per check" charges. Plus with a Master Money Debit Card
you can access your money 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at thousands
of Co-Op ATM machines and merchants nationwide, FREE. Choose from
Regular, Direct Deposit or Frugal Share Draft accounts. Choose the type
of draft account that meets your financial needs.
Regular Share Draft
Regular Share Draft Accounts offer unlimited check writing
privileges with no per-check fees. To avoid a monthly service fee of
$5.00, you must maintain an average daily balance of $250 or more.
Debit cards are available to access this account.
Direct Deposit Share Draft
With direct deposit to your checking account you can qualify for
the Direct Draft account. This account offers all the privileges of
the Regular Share Draft and NO MONTHLY SERVICE charge or account balance
requirement. Debit cards are available to access this account.
Frugal Share Draft
For those members who do not write very many checks each month,
the Frugal Draft account is perfect. Clear less than 20 checks each
month and there is no monthly fee and no balance requirement , in addition
to all the other privileges of the Regular Draft account. If you clear
more than 20 checks in any month, there is a $7.50 service fee. Debit
cards are available to access this account.
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA’s)
The Credit Union offers Traditional, Roth and Education IRA accounts.
Christmas Club Accounts
The Credit Union offers a Christmas club savings account. Just determine
how much you want to save for Christmas, set up a regular deposit plan
and your funds will be available the first working day of November.
Debit Cards
The Credit Union offers a MasterMoney Debit Card to those whole qualify
for this service. With either of these cards you will have access to
your draft account at over 17,000 Coop ATM machines nationwide with no
fee from the Credit Union and no surcharge. Usage at a non-qualified
ATM will result in a Credit Union fee and possibly a surcharge.
With your MasterMoney Debit Card you can pay for purchases at most merchants
who accept MasterCard or Visa.
NOTE: The Credit Union uses ChexSystems when opening a new account.
